start with organizations you know about

learn about some new ones

choose one to learn about, promote, and support

talk to kids about what they think isn't fair

share your first memory of realizing life is not fair

read the UNICEF Rights of the Child

don't skip over the uncomfortable ones

see which ones you are drawn to

come up with rights that weren't on the list

ask big questions - "why don't all kids have enough to eat?"

do research to get to the deeper issues

read books that help build empathetic connections to tough issues

brainstorm ways that kids think differently than adults

talk about what you were like as a child

blow up some balloons

do something nice for your neighbor who just had a baby

look through childhood pictures and share some memories

eat some cake
