In order to bring our philosophy to a wider audience and share the wisdom and unique perspective of kids, we started the "Kids can be Philanthropists, Too!" podcast, co-hosted by Amy Neugebauer and kids in The Giving Square network.
This podcast will cover a wide range of social issues, such as grief, the refugee experience, homelessness, and much more. In this podcast, kids ask adults hard questions, answer the hard questions, and provide their own insight on the world around us.
Our first three episodes focus on health and are co-hosted by Sam, Alona, Ismahil, Ibrahim, Jayden, and Leo. We interview teachers from the MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Texas, the founder of the Alongside Network in Minneapolis, two adults who recently battled cancer, and each other. We talk about what it is like to have cancer, the mental health challenges of being a patient and a caregiver, colonoscopies and more!
